Linen End-User Licence Agreement

Version 1.0 · Last updated 2 November 2026

1. Who this agreement is between

1.1 This End-User Licence Agreement (“Agreement”) is between FPH (a sole proprietorship in Denmark, CVR 43252771; address on linenide.com/legal/imprint) (“FPH”, “we”) and you, the person or organisation installing or using Linen (“you”).

1.2 “Linen” means the Linen desktop software, its installers and updates, the built-in skills, Version Packs, templates, the Linen tool server and the online services Linen connects to.

1.3 By installing, activating or using Linen you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use Linen. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.

1.4 You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts this Agreement on your behalf.

1.5 Purchases are also governed by the Linen Terms of Sale and Subscription. Personal data is handled as described in the Linen Privacy Policy.

2. Licence

2.1 Linen is licensed, not sold. FPH grants you, for the Free edition without a product key and for Pro or Lifetime while your product key is valid, a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Linen to develop Minecraft mods, plugins and related software, for personal or commercial purposes.

2.2 Software you create with Linen belongs to you. FPH claims no ownership of your projects.

2.3 All rights in Linen not expressly granted remain with FPH and its licensors.

3. Product keys and devices

3.1 Linen’s Free edition needs no product key. Pro and Lifetime need a valid product key, issued only by FPH. Keys obtained from anyone other than FPH, or generated, shared or altered without FPH’s permission, are invalid.

3.2 One key may be active on up to 3 devices at a time, unless FPH has agreed otherwise in writing. You can free a device from Linen’s settings.

3.3 Linen checks your key with FPH’s licence server when online. If Linen cannot reach the server, it keeps working for 14 days on a subscription and 30 days on a Lifetime key, then asks you to connect.

3.4 You are responsible for keeping your key private. FPH may deactivate a key that is shared publicly, resold without permission, or used on more devices than allowed.

3.5 Subscription keys stay valid while your subscription is paid. When it ends, Linen switches to the Free edition as described in the Terms of Sale; your projects remain yours and can always be opened, built and exported.

4. What you may not do

You may not, and may not help anyone else to:

  • copy, distribute, rent, lend, sell, sublicense or share Linen or your product key, except as this Agreement allows;
  • bypass, disable or tamper with licence checks, device limits, signature checks or update protections;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer Linen, except where applicable law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
  • extract the built-in skills, Version Packs or templates to distribute them or to build a competing product;
  • use Linen to break the law, to break Mojang’s or Microsoft’s terms, to break Anthropic’s terms or Usage Policy, or to create malware or other harmful software;
  • remove or hide copyright, licence or trademark notices.

5. Your projects and content

5.1 Your source code, assets and project files stay on your devices and in the services you choose (for example GitHub). FPH does not receive, store or review them.

5.2 You are responsible for your projects, including anything you publish, and for having the rights to any code, textures or other material you use in them.

5.3 You are responsible for backing up your work. Linen supports git and GitHub to make this easy.

6. AI features and Claude Code

6.1 Claude Code is a separate product made by Anthropic PBC. Linen can run Claude Code on your device. Linen is not made by, affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Anthropic.

6.2 Your own account, your own agreement. To use Claude Code you sign in with your own Claude plan, Anthropic API key or supported cloud-provider credentials, through Anthropic’s own sign-in process. Your use of Claude Code is governed by your agreement with Anthropic (or your cloud provider), including Anthropic’s terms and Usage Policy. You are responsible for complying with them.

6.3 Not included in the price. Your Linen purchase does not include any Claude usage, credits or subscription. All Claude usage is billed to you directly by Anthropic or your cloud provider. FPH does not pay for, resell or route your Claude usage.

6.4 FPH never handles your Claude login. Linen does not show its own Claude login, and FPH does not collect, store or access your Claude credentials, session tokens, prompts or Claude’s responses.

6.5 Usage limits. Claude plans have usage limits set by Anthropic. Some Linen features, such as automatic build-fix loops and review agents, use more of your plan. You control these features in Settings. FPH is not responsible for limits, interruptions, price changes or account actions taken by Anthropic.

6.6 AI output can be wrong. Code, text and other output produced with AI may be incorrect, insecure, incompatible, or similar to existing work. Linen’s checks reduce mistakes but cannot remove them. You must review AI output before you use or publish it, and you are responsible for what you release.

6.7 Changes by Anthropic. Anthropic may change, limit or end Claude Code or the ways it may be used in third-party software. If that happens, FPH may change or remove Claude-related features to stay compliant. Linen’s other features continue to work, and API-key sign-in remains available where Anthropic permits it.

6.8 Disclosure. Some platforms require you to disclose AI-generated content. You are responsible for following each platform’s rules.

7. Minecraft, Mojang and third-party components

7.1 NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.

7.2 Linen does not include Minecraft’s code or assets. When a project needs them, Linen downloads them to your device directly from Mojang’s or the relevant project’s official servers, and processes them on your device. If you use Claude Code, the parts of Minecraft’s code that Claude reads through Linen’s tools (at most 400 lines at a time) are sent to Anthropic with your conversation, under your own Anthropic account; you can turn this off in Linen’s Settings (“Let Claude read Minecraft’s code”). You must comply with the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement and Usage Guidelines, including when you publish mods or plugins.

7.3 Mod loaders, plugin platforms, libraries and tools that Linen works with (for example Fabric, NeoForge, Forge, Paper, Spigot and others) are owned by their respective projects and governed by their own licences. FPH does not control them.

7.4 Linen includes open-source components under their own licences, listed in Linen’s About screen under Third-party licences. Where those licences give you rights beyond this Agreement for those components, those rights apply.

7.5 GitHub, Modrinth, CurseForge, Hangar, Stripe and other third-party services are governed by their own terms. Linen only connects to them when you choose to.

8. Updates, Version Packs and online services

8.1 FPH may provide updates, new Version Packs and skill updates. Some updates may be required to keep using online features or to stay compliant with law or third-party terms.

8.2 Version Packs, skill updates, app updates and other online services require a valid key and an internet connection.

8.3 FPH aims to keep its online services available but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be announced where possible.

8.4 FPH may change or remove features, including to follow changes by Mojang, Anthropic, loader projects or the law. Where a change significantly reduces what you paid for, the Terms of Sale explain your options.

9. Privacy

Linen needs limited licence data to work, and offers optional, anonymous usage statistics that you can turn on or off at any time. Details are in the Linen Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

10.1 This Agreement lasts until it ends under this section.

10.2 You may end it at any time by uninstalling Linen. Cancelling a subscription is covered by the Terms of Sale.

10.3 FPH may deactivate your key and end this Agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break it, for example by sharing or reselling keys or bypassing licence checks. Where reasonable, FPH will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If FPH ends the Agreement without a valid reason, the Terms of Sale explain your refund rights.

10.4 When the Agreement ends you must stop using Linen. Your projects remain yours. Sections 4, 6.6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 continue to apply.

11. Your statutory rights and our warranty

11.1 If you are a consumer, you have rights under mandatory consumer law, including Danish and EU rules on digital content that does not conform to the contract. Nothing in this Agreement limits those rights.

11.2 Apart from those rights, Linen is provided “as is”. FPH does not promise that Linen is error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every purpose, or that code written with Linen or with AI will work, be secure, or be accepted by any platform.

12. Liability

12.1 Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

12.2 For business customers, FPH is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost data or lost business, and FPH’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Linen in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12.3 For consumers, FPH is liable under the ordinary rules of Danish law, subject to section 12.1.

12.4 FPH is not responsible for third-party products and services, including Claude Code, Minecraft, mod loaders, plugin platforms, GitHub and Stripe, or for changes, limits or outages caused by them.

13. Governing law and disputes

13.1 This Agreement is governed by Danish law. Disputes go to the Danish courts.

13.2 If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you may bring a claim where those laws allow.

13.3 Danish consumers can complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet) through Nævnenes Hus. Consumers in other EU countries can get help from their national European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net).

14. Changes and contact

14.1 FPH may update this Agreement. For changes that affect you materially, Linen will show the new version at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect; Lifetime customers can keep the version of Linen they have under the earlier terms.

14.2 If any part of this Agreement is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
